2017 has been a huge year for Khalid. Not only did he release his debut studio album American Teen and land a huge fashion campaign, he’s also linked up with some of the biggest names in music, including everyone from Calvin Harris to Logic to Lil Wayne to Kehlani. The 19-year-old singer has done a lot in just a few months, but he isn’t about to give up the momentum.
On Wednesday afternoon, Khalid announced he would add to his growing list of collaborations with a new record featuring Rae Sremmurd and Lil Yachty. They teamed up on the official remix of “Young Dumb & Broke” off American Teen. Swae Lee, Slim Jimmy, and Lil Boat assist Khalid on the chorus, in addition to providing their own verses:
“Back in high school Boat was so emotional/Now I'm super rich and everything I do is so promotional/I didn't finish college, so my momma thought I wouldn't be shit/I had to prove her wrong/That's why I talk about her now in every single song,” Yachty says. “Had to struggle for a while/Just so I could live it up when it's time to live/ I knew something had to give.”
The “Young Dumb & Broke” remix is available to stream on Apple Music and can be downloaded on iTunes.
