Though she has spent most of 2017 locked in an on-again, off-again beef with Remy Ma, Nicki Minaj continues to win. In early March, she passed Aretha Franklin for the most Hot 100 hits by a female artist, and if you take Nicki's word for it, she just added another major accomplishment to the list.
After winning an ASCAP award for her feature on Yo Gotti's "Down In The DM's" remix, Minaj took to Instagram to proclaim herself the, "most awarded female rapper in history," which as of right now has yet to be verified. She didn't stop there, and made sure she reserved a part of her proud moment to talk down to her detractors.
"They don't want you to post your achievements & accomplishments," she said. "It makes them uncomfortable. But you must! [Because] everyday, [people] broadcast your failures. They shout them to the mountain tops. So never EVER stop posting your accomplishments. I love my fans so much. Thank you."
Despite the bold proclamation on the 'Gram, it appears as though Minaj is still waiting for official confirmation of the award title. Minaj turned to fans on Twitter to ask if whether she in fact has become the most awarded female rapper in history.

Not to tamper Minaj's enthusiasm, but if you're going by the respective awards-based Wikipedia pages for her and Missy Elliot—dubious sources, to be fair—Missy is listed as having won 114 awards from 250 nominations, with Minaj having won 95 awards from 277 nominations. There are so many award shows these days that it's hard to keep track of everything Minaj has been awarded for, but let's just say there's room for skepticism at the very least.
Even if you're not a believer of her claim on the awards count, it's hard to deny Minaj's success. Despite beef between her ex-boyfriends and Minaj wading into the feud between Katy Perry and Taylor Swift, the drama hasn't been enough to weigh her down in 2017 as she continues to pop up as a featured artist alongside some of the biggest names in music.
Don't expect Minaj's award show presence to diminish, either. She's expected to perform at the NBA Awards on June 26, and her creative output isn't slowing down one bit.
