It’s the day Lana Del Rey’s patient fans have been waiting for. The singer’s fifth studio album, Lust for Life, has officially dropped on streaming services.

The project marks Lana’s first full-length release since 2015’s Honeymoon, and has become one of the most anticipated drops of 2017. Though the 32-year-old didn’t officially announce Lust for Lifes release date until the end of May, she has been speaking about the album as far back as 2015, insisting she already had ideas but was in no rush to deliver it.

In February of this year, fans finally received the project’s lead single, “Love,” which was followed by the title track featuring The Weeknd, “Coachella – Woodstock in My Mind,” as well as two songs assisted by ASAP Rocky: “Groupie Love” and “Summer Bummer.”

In an interview with the BBC, Lana discussed the evolution of the album and how the 2016 presidential race shifted its direction.

“I started out thinking that the whole record was gonna have a ’50s-’60s feeling, like some kind of Shangri-Las, early Joan Baez influences. But as the climate kept on getting more heated politically, I found lyrically everything was just directed towards that,” she explained. “So because of that, the sound just got really updated, and I felt like it was more wanting to talk to the younger side of the audience that I have. I guess it’s a little more socially aware. It’s kind of a global feeling.”

Lust for Life, which includes appearances by Playboi Carti, Stevie Nicks, and Sean Ono Lennon, is available to stream on Apple Music and can be purchased on iTunes. You can also listen below via Spotify.
