It's been a long time coming, but Skype has finally released a beta of its much-discussed and heavily anticipated new Mac OS X client. Dubbed 5.0, the new software will let Mac users participate in multi-person video chats and sports a completely revamped interface which features a left-hand sidebar and a HUGE window. A lot of the features have been moved around and reshuffled, so you'll need to spend sometime getting to know it, but all in all it's a much-needed improvement. [Mashable]
