Chuck has seemingly been on the bubble since it debuted four seasons ago, but that doesn't make this bit of news any more comforting to fans: Monday night's brand-new episode was watched by barely 4 million people, a series low.
Series creator Josh Schwartz took the bad news in stride, writing on Twitter, "[There are] 4 more episodes left. You all watch ‘em = good things happen. You don’t and… Well, you all will.” And, yet, you have to wonder if even Schwartz believes Chuck will live to fight another day. NBC may be a bottom-rung network at the moment, but even by its standards, the Chuck ratings are abysmal; even the show's demo numbers are falling.
Might this just be a case of no one being interested in the show any more?
