Whether you're excited for Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides or think it's the latest step in the fall-off of once-cool actor Johnny Depp, one thing we can all agree upon is that the fantasy series is commendable for bringing us sexy yet dangerous mermaids. In the franchise's fourth film, Spanish-French actress Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey plays Syrena, a mermaid follower of Tamara, Queen of Mermaids (Australian model Gemma Ward), who strikes up a romance with a human missionary (Sam Claflin). Maybe the parts don't match, but if we met a half-woman, half fish who looked like she does, we'd be dipping fish sticks too.
