Jackass star Ryan Dunn was killed in a car accident early on Monday morning in Pennsylvania. Police aren't sure of the cause of the crash, beyond high speeds, but Dunn did post a photo to his Twitter page that showed him drinking with friends hours before the accident. It's a sad day for Jackass fans, and perhaps G4 fans as well. That's because Dunn's new series might have been pulled off the air indefinitely.

Proving Ground was a new series on G4 that featured Dunn proving or disproving movie special effects. Per The Washington Post: "[Dunn] worked with experts, specialists and prop masters to re-create stunts seen in films, TV shows and video games to see if they could really work in the “real” world. You know, like spinning a web and swinging from it, a la Spiderman."

Nine episodes have been shot, and the premiere was watched by 31,000 people last week. G4 pulled the newest episode from its schedule, but it remains to be seen if the show will be off the air for good.

Dunn was 34 years old.
