Though LulzSec can list the likes of the C.I.A. and Senate as past victims, their peers have often scoffed at their efforts, due to the relatively minor harm caused by their DDoS hacks. However, in obtaining the United Kingdom’s entire 2011 census database, LulzSec can now be certain everyone will take them seriously as they now pose a threat to international security.
Claiming that it’s only a matter of time before they release documents on ThePirateBay, LulzSec is currently reformatting all of the information. And while no reasons for the heist were made clear, LulzSec member Cap’n Pierre “Lulz” DuBois took a shoot at the UK government, calling them “security-illiterate.”
