As you may have assumed when it was revealed that James Spader would likely replace Kathy Bates on The Office, TVLine reports that the candidates to replace Steve Carell on the hit comedy will all come from within.
It appears that John Krasinski, Ed Helms and Rainn Wilson are the obvious choices for the new boss (same as the old boss?), and judging from that roster, and what went down last season, expect Krasinski to pull ahead. The logic being: Dwight failed as the boss, and Andy seems to timid to take over. Plus, it would allow Krasinski (a budding big star) to become the face of the show, which could only help with the potentially fledgling ratings.
