After a series of false starts and changes to talent, Coming Soon is reporting that the adaptation of the Playstation 3 hit, Uncharted, will now be shot under the watchful lens of Limitless director Neil Burger.
The Uncharted job previously belonged to David O. Russell, director of The Fighter, but it was recently announced that he dropped out of the project due to creative differences. Russell, along with Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer, wrote the original script for the film, but Burger's new direction will apparently start from scratch.
It’s still unclear whether or not Mark Wahlberg will remain in place as the movie’s star; he worked with Russell previously on The Fighter.
