Steve Carell is known as one of the nicest people in Hollywood, so it almost goes without saying that he'd support whatever decision his former bosses at The Office made when choosing his replacement. Still, here you go: Carell told Access Hollywood that he's excited about James Spader joining the series.
“I think it’s an excellent choice,. I think it’s great and he will infuse all this new energy into the show.”
That "new energy" is apparently being felt by the old cast members, too. “In talking to the cast, everyone’s very excited and I know it’ll be a good season,” he said.
