Facebook Could Partner With Spotify, Others, For Music Platform

Myspace just died a little inside.

None

It’s been a long time coming, but Facebook’s music service could finally land this month. Reports indicate that FB will partner with Spotify, Rdio, and MOG for music streaming in an arrangement mirroring those for games and apps with companies such as Zynga, therein passing the legal buck to the third parties in case any legal issues arise. After all, with its $100 billion evaluation, record companies probably would’ve come after FB with fork and knife in hand had the social network decided to host music on its own servers instead of outsourcing it.
