With director Judd Apatow currently deep into production on his Knocked Up spin-off, tentatively titled This Is Forty, we wondered if Seth Rogen would show up to reprise his role. According to Movies.com, it seems that one of our favorite cover guysdid show up, but it wasn't to report for duty. The 50/50 actor confirmed to the site that his character, Ben Stone, will not make an appearance in the comedy film.

The Canadian actor, who appeared opposite Katherine Heig, Paul Rudd, and Leslie Man in the 2007 film, said, "Yeah, I'm not in it, but I went to visit the set, and it looked hilarious. It was a good choice, honestly, because I think it would've confused people. I'm really looking forward to seeing it; I thought the script was unbelievably funny."

While it would've been swagged out to see where Rogen's character is now at in life, in relation to Rudd and Mann's characters, it's not like the actor is in dire need of work. In that same interview, Rogen admitted that he'll make his directorial debut with the long-gestating project entitled Jay and Seth vs. The Apocalypse, which co-stars Jay Baruchel. The plot follows two friends (you can guess who plays who), as they experience a case of cabin fever while the end of the world happens outside.

Production begins on Jay and Seth in February 2012, while This Is Forty will hit theaters on December 21, 2012.
