Syndicate Revived for a New Generation

What do you do with a cult classic, isometric real-time tactical shooter? How about turn it into a first person shooter for a whole new generation of gamers! That is just what EA and Starbreeze are doing with Syndicate for the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.

Originally released way back in 1993, the original Syndicate launched to critical acclaim and has cemented itself a spot on many “best games ever” lists for the PC platform. In the new game, players will take control of Miles Kilo, Eurocorp’s latest prototype agent, In a world where war is business, you will embark on an extended corruption filled adventure filled with violence and revenge.

The game is still a little ways off as it isn’t being planned for release until some time in 2012. Hopefully when that fateful release day comes, the game will be something that fans can appreciate and not a bastardization of the classic just for the sake of making a few bucks...
