Fast Five, which is now on Blu-ray, has apparently not one, but two sequels in the works. After the wow factor of having Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson powering the fifth installment to breaking box office records, Universal is reportedly planning to shoot the next parts back-to-back in Europe next year. More than that, it looks like they want to add yet another badass to their cast of other badasses—the Transporter himself, Jason Statham.
Already no stranger to fast cars and fast women himself, Statham's inclusion in the franchise is purely rumor. The unknown source behind this news says that the bald action star and Universal Pictures are in the most preliminary talks "to explore the possibility of the action star joining one or both films." As to who he would play or even what he would drive is all speculative for right now. Both Vin Diesel and Paul Walker will return for the next film (and the one after, if this rumor turns out to be true), along with Jordana Brewster.
