Porn star-turned-actress Sasha Grey was invited to speak at a Los Angeles-area elementary school through the Read Across America program...and even though there's pictorial evidence (thanks, TMZ!) that she was, in fact, there, the school is denying it ever happened.
Here's what went down: Grey read to a group of 1st graders at the Compton elementary school on November 2, and she even tweeted about it the same day, saying, "Spent the am with Read Across America Compton, reading to the sweetest 1st & 3rd grade students @ Emerson Elementary!"
When parents heard that the Grey had been at the school, they got a little pissed despite the fact that Grey hasn't actually done porn in two years. The parents complained to the school's PTA, who in turn complained to the principal - and now, a rep for the school district is saying that Grey was never actually there.
"We have several celebrities who read to our students each year. The actress you have indicated [Sasha] was not present," the rep told TMZ, despite the existance of the tweet and the pictures.
Guess it's just some damn good photoshopping then...
