The nostalgia-effect is in full, well, full-effect. First it was TeenNick's resurrection of classic Snick shows like All That and Hey Dude, and now MTV is jumping on the "old is new" bandwagon with a Yo! MTV Raps.

MTV plans to bring back the classic hip-hop show, which aired from 1988 to 1995 and strongly influenced the spread of hip-hop culture, for a single night. The retrospective will feature the show's original hosts Fab 5 FreddyEd Lover and Dr. Dre and will reminisce on hip-hop's Golden Era with a slew of influential artists, including Q-Tip Ice Cube, Wiz Khalifa, DJ Khaled, Questlove, Busta Rhymes, Mac Miller, Young Jeezy,  Phife,  Common, Ice-T, Naughty by Nature, and more.

The dream-come-true special will air on MTV2 on December 4th, directly after the first-ever Sucker Free Awards at 11 p.m.
