Through some sinister form of black magic, this year's indie favorite Bastion is now available in the Google Chrome app store to be played within the browser itself. This makes it available to PC users on operating systems other than Windows—if it can run Google Chrome, then in theory, it can run Bastion. You can download the prologue to play first and unlock the rest of the game for $14.99. Head here to check it out.

This is an extremely clever way for fledgling developer Supergiant games to get the game out on more platforms without having to rely on subscription-based services like Onlive or make multiple, potentially messy ports. It's also the first example we can remember of a game this high-profile being treated as a downloadable internet browser app. Will other games soon start following suit or is this a bad idea?
