Capcom announced today that their action RPG, "Dragon's Dogma", will be hitting store shelves on May 22nd. Along with the release date, Capcom announced a whole slew of retailer-specific pre-order bonuses for players who choose to pick up the game early.

If you pre-order the game at Gamestop, you'll get access to the "Pawn Upgrade Pack", giving you extra Rift Crystals that allow you buy higher-level "pawn" companions at the start of the game. Amazon and Best Buy also have store-specific pre-orders, giving you upgraded weapons and armor, respectively.

Capcom also revealed that copies of Dragon's Dogma will include a download code for a demo of Resident Evil 6, coming later this year. While the demo won't be available right out of the box for anyone, Xbox 360 players will be able to download the demo on July 3rd: PS3 owners will have to wait until Spetember 4th, an extra 60 days, to try RE6.

Packaging demos for popular sequels in untested titles isn't a new strategy for game developers. Will the chance to play Resident Evil 6 early going to make you take another look at Dragon's Dogma? Let us know in the comments!
