Foursquare used to be just check-ins, which, for the most part, was kind of pointless. Now, it’s pretty useful, adding menu listings for any business that offers a selection of services, from restaurants to salons and everything in between.
The new feature, powered by SinglePlatform, will initially provide info for over 250,000 businesses nationwide. It follows the introduction of foursquare’s “Explore” feature, which paired detailed keyword location searching with friend check-ins.
