Well it looks like Tim Schafer and Double Fine Productions have got more funding for their next game than they ever imagined. Originally created to collect $400,000 of donations, the KickStarter campaign surpassed that goal in only 8 hours. Nobody could've predicted the turnout, not even Double Fine themselves.

That said, the campaign still has 29 days to go, and has raised at the time of this writing $1,704,139. Seriously. And Double Fine has promised that not a penny will go to waste, as it will make the game and it's accompanying documentary bigger and better with every dollar donated.

Well it looks like the game will be huge, and there's no telling how much more money Double Fine will raise in the next month.

Congratulations to Double Fine, and here's looking forward to your return to the point-and-click adventure genre.
