If you stood to make $20 million in a divorce, would you take it? Russell Brand definitely wouldn't.

TMZ reports that Katy Perry and Russell Brand did not have a prenuptial agreement, so they're each entitled to 50% of the total amount that they've earned during their 14-month marriage. Basically, everything they've earned gets thrown into one pot and then divided in half.

Forbes magazine says Katy made $44 million between May 2010 and May 2011. The pair married in October 2010, so should Russell Brand exercise his "community property rights," he'd be able to claim half of that income, plus whatever money of his own is added to the mix.

It doesn't matter though, because Brand wants none of it.

"This divorce is as amicable as it gets.... " said a source. "[Russell] doesn't want Katy's money. He's happy to walk away with the money he earned— which is far less than what Katy raked in."
