If Square Enix's just-announced Sleeping Dogs looks similar to the True Crime series, well, that's because it is the True Crime series. Activision cancelled the latest game, True Crime: Hong Kong, last February, and Square Enix picked up the rights over the summer. After a name change, it's as good as new. Let's hope so at least.

It's still being developed by United Front Games, so the signature blend of driving, shooting and hand-to-hand combat in a gritty open world setting will likely be faithfully maintained. Check out the new live action trailer above and tell us what you think in the comments or on Twitter.
