After only being on the network for just under a year, Keith Olbermann has been fired by Current TV, according to The Huffington Post. He will be replaced in his timeslot by former NY Governor Eliot Spitzer's new show, Viewpoint with Eliot Spitzer

When he was fired by MSNBC in January of 2011, Olbermann brought his show, Countdown with Keith Olbermann, to Current TV, where he was initially viewed as one of the network's biggest stars. But in a statement released by the network today, it seems like Olbermann wore-out his welcome.

"Current was also founded on the values of respect, openness, collegiality, and loyalty to our viewers. Unfortunately these values are no longer reflected in our relationship with Keith Olbermann and we have ended it," said the network in a statement.

Ouch. We don't know what's next for Olbermann, but his spats with MSNBC, Fox News, ESPN, and Current TV sure don't leave many options open for the pundit.
