Yesterday, word began to leak out that Intel’s new quad-core Ivy Bridge processors, ranging in speeds from 2.5 GHz to 3.5 GHz, will be released sometime between April 22nd and April 28th. Naturally, one might assume this has something to do with impending MacBook Pro and Air upgrades, but Taiwanese newspaper DigiTimes reports that new models won’t hit until June. In fact, Apple is focusing on production of its 13.3-inch Pro model, the popular choice amongst new owners due to its lower, PC-comparable pricepoint. And so, while the 15-inch model will see monthly shipments of around 100,000 to 150,000, supply of the smaller 13.3-inch model will surely surpass that.
