Trailer Park: "Snow White And The Huntsman" Looks Like The Summer's Most Visually Impressive Movie

Charlize Theron and some stunning CGI have us absolutely pumped for this.

When the first trailer for Rupert Sanders'Snow White and the Huntsman was released, it surprised us with its inventive visuals and dark tone. It was impressive, no doubt, but other summer blockbuster trailers have since been released and made us forget all about it. Now, Universal has unleashed a brand new look at the movie that not only solidifies what was great about the first trailer, but also expands upon it.

Here we get a feel for the scope of the story and a better look at the performances by Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth, and Kristen Stewart. Theron's role as The Queen is obviously the driving force of the movie as she uses every resource at her disposal to hunt down and kill Snow White. Hemsworth looks and sounds pretty much as he does as Thor, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. And even Stewart looks more than capable of pulling off the role of Snow White, even though she doesn't speak a whole lot during the trailer.

But the real selling points here are the special effects. The CGI in this film isn't used like it was during Transformers or Battleship; instead, Sanders looks like he is borrowing elements from Lord of the Rings and Pan's Labyrinth by bringing vivid colors and subtle beauty to the world of Snow White. There are a myriad of fantastic creatures and monsters that look exactly the way a child would imagine them. They are all expertly designed and crafted, and, like any good special effects work, they add to the movie instead of distracting us from it.

We'll see if Snow White and the Huntsman can be the surprise hit of the summer when it gets released on June 1.
