We haven't had this exact thing happen to us in Skyrim, but apparently it's not uncommon. Although in this version she doesn't get back up and start talking like nothing happened.
Given the bajillions of glitches, bugs and generally weird occurrences in the game, this isn't even the weirdest thing we've seen.
