Zynga, the mobile gaming empire behind titles like Farmville and Words With Friends, has just acquired relative newcomer OMGPOP, who created a monster hit with the Pictionary-like Draw Something.

Draw Something is just six weeks old, but its had incredible viral success— the mobile app has already racked up 12 million daily active users and over 30 million downloads. It's currently the top app in the App Store in every category. If you're not yet hooked yourself, you've probably seen your friends talking about it on Facebook and Twitter.

Zynga confirmed the news this afternoon, and although they didn't mention how much they paid for OMGPOP, TechCrunch reports that it was $180 million with an additional $30 million earnout.
