"Minecraft" Auteur Recreates Original "Castlevania" In Its Entirety

The effort took 100 hours, and it looks gorgeous.

Diligent Minecraft player Nick "Nario" Hagman recently spent 100 hours over 37 straight days recreating the entirety of the original NES Castlevania within the block-building PC game. Why he did this, we have no idea, but the results sure are compelling.

Unlike many other ambitious Minecraft projects, this version of Castlevania was constructed by "hand", on a normal Minecraft server. There were no mods involved in its creation, according to Hagman, besides the Castlevania textures and Simon Belmont character skin.
