Gears of War creator Cliff Bleszinski announced that Gears of War: Exile, a long-rumored Gears of War side-project with Kinect controls, has been cancelled.
"Let's just bury the hatchet now," Bleszinski told Gamespot. "Gears of War: Exile was an unannounced game that I can't give any details about that has since been cancelled."
Word of the "Gears of War Kinect" project popped up in early 2011. It was all-but-forgotten once the game didn't appear in any form at E3 2011. The popular consensus was that Exile would be an on-rails shooter, though no information on the game was ever officially released.
