A man was arrested in Bangkok yesterday while carrying six roasted fetuses, aged two to seven months. Authorities, who still aren't certain how he got a hold of them, said they would have to send the bodies off for forensic testing to determine if they were removed illegally by abortion, or if they were the remains of dead babies.

The suspect, 28-year-old Chow Hok Kuen, was allegedly attempting to smuggle the fetuses into Taiwan. He told police he bought them on the Internet for $6,500, but was planning on selling them for much more. But for what?

Apparently, there's a black magic ritual known as "Kuman Thong," which is an amulet soaked in a liquid from stillborn babies that's supposed to give its holder prosperity. As disgusting as that sounds, it's still practiced in the area.

Kuen claims he was working for another man, but faces a year in jail regardless.
