We've been working up to writing our Ghost Recon: Future Soldier review all week (there's a lot of game to cover), and we've been having a great time so far, but one of the game's most glaring omissions is the lack of splitscreen play in its campaign.

It's made even worse by the fact that several retailer listings, including UbiShop's, suggest that the game does allow splitscreen campaign play, when it in fact does not.

"We've been made aware of the presence of outdated information on UbiShop and several retailer sites stating split screen, cooperative play is available in Ghost Recon: Future Soldier's campaign," Ubisoft forum manager EvilPixieGrr writes on the official forums. "We have ensured the information has been updated on the sites affected by this."

Let's be clear on exactly what GRFS does offer for multiplayer: there's online co-op campaign, though no matchmaking means you'll be forced to play with your dumb friends. There is splitscreen in the game's Guerilla mode, similar to Gears' Horde mode. And there's online matchmaking, in which you can form a party with friends and hop into matchmaking, but again with no splitscreen.

Keep an eye out for our full review coming soon, and let us know what you think of the game so far in the comments or on Twitter.
