Researchers at Massachusetts Institute of Technology wanted to find out what effect yogurt had on obesity. Responding to a Harvard University study done on humans, MIT took 80 mice, 40 male and 40 female, and went into the lab.

They fed half the group a diet meant to mimic heavy junk food consumption, and the other group got regular "mouse meals." Both groups had yogurt put in half their diet. The results were surprising.

Yogurt-eating mice had fur that was shiny and soft, with "10 times the active follicle density of other mice," resulting in very, very pretty mice. In particular, the male mice began to "project their testes outward" giving them a "mouse swagger." Their balls were about 5 percent to 15 percent heavier than other mice. They also got the lady mice pregnant fast and produced more baby mice. Female yogurt-eating mice gave birth to bigger litters.

What's the takeaway? Yogurt for mice had some pretty nice side-effects, so guys and girls, break out that Go-Gurt.
