Government Censorship Online Is On The Rise, According To Google

The Man is watching...and complaining.

None

When governments of the world want things scrubbed from the ‘net, they ask Google. So, the search giant compiled all of those requests into its biannual Transparency Report, and surprisingly, the most activity came from the U.S., with a 103% increase from the previous six-month period. Though in most cases, Google simply shot down the requests. Granted, the only reason China probably didn’t top the charts is the fact that YouTube is unavailable there.
