Nicoletta (160 Second Avenue), which prides itself in “specialty pizzas,” opened in the East Village this past weekend. The menu is simple, with smaller dishes coming up to $5 or less, but appetizers begin an $10 and pizzas at $17. Also, keep in mind that this place is known for Wisconsin and Italian pies that aren’t quite what you’re used to. That means pizza with zucchini (Fior Di Zucca) or a pie with broccoli (that Brocolo).
If you’re up for it, head over to Second Avenue and 10th Street for fancy, yet delicious pizza. You get exactly what you pay for.
