After the surprising success of Men in Black III last month, you would think that Will Smith would cash in on even more sequels to help pay for pools, ostrich farms, and any other luxuries that the offbeat and wealthy indulge in. But according to the BBC, Smith is adamant about not being "the sequel guy."
And when asked about his involvement in long-rumored I Am Legend 2, the star said, "Producers are working on it. I'm not actually working on it. If it's great, I'm into it." When asked if he would appear in the film, Smith responded, "Probably not."
That actually makes sense considering his character bought the farm in the first movie. Also, apparently Men in Black III doesn't count when it comes to being "the sequel guy." Hopefully this new mindset of Smith's will work out for the best, especially if he begins picking and choosing fresh, new projects in Hollywood. Only time will tell. Until then, he's still threatening to be in Bad Boys III.
