Nintendo today began allowing Elite-status Club Nintendo members to choose from a number of free rewards, and non-Elite members are about to become very jealous, because these are fantastic.

The Mario Playing Cards top the list, but the poster set and calendar are almost as cool. If you'd rather just get a new game, though, you can choose from some classics: Super Mario Kart, Metroid II: Return of Samus, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, or Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again.

Club Nintendo members reach Gold status when they earn 300 coins in a year, and Platinum when they earn 600 coins. You have to be a real Nintendo addict to get there, especially with the Wii, DS and 3DS's currently sparse offerings, but you're going to be really glad if you have.

What'll you choose? Are you going to buy more Nintendo games this year in anticipation of next year's Elite rewards? Tell us in the comments or on Twitter.
