A set of images and files may have revealed many of the unreleased characters and stages from Sony mash-up fighter Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale.

Most of the images, which have since made their way to Reddit and NeoGAF, were supposedly taken from the game's private beta. One of the images, an original image showing many of the game's unannounced characters, is clearly not a screenshot from anywhere, and has the word "leak" written repeatedly all over it. All told, the images show 14 stages and 12 characters.

Including the new additions, here is the current PS All-Stars roster:

  • Dante (DmC)
  • Cole McGrath (inFamous)
  • Ratchet (Ratchet & Clank)
  • Raiden (Metal Gear Solid)
  • Sackboy (LittleBigPlanet)
  • Sir Daniel Fortesque (MediEvil)
  • Big Daddy (Bioshock)
  • Heihachi Mishima (Tekken)
  • Toro the PlayStation marketing icon in Japan
  • Nariko (Heavenly Sword)
  • Jak (Jak & Daxter)
  • Spike (Ape Escape)
  • "Evil" Cole McGrath (inFamous)*

*There's speculation that "Evil Cole" may actually be Nathan Hale, hero of Resistance and Resistance 2.

The files posted on NeoGAF have indicated that the game will feature unlockable characters, meaning that some, if not most, of these fighters will need to be earned by playing the game.

Similarly, here are the names of the stages revealed in the leak.

  • Alden’s Tower (Infamous)
  • Black Rock Stadium (Twisted Metal)
  • Columbia (BioShock Infinite)
  • Dojo (Parappa the Rapper)
  • Dreamscape (LittleBigPlanet)
  • Franzea (LocoRoco)
  • Hades (God of War)
  • Invasion (Killzone)
  • Metropolis (Ratchet & Clank)
  • Paris (Sly Cooper)
  • Sandover (Jak & Daxter)
  • San Francisco (Resistance)
  • Stowaways (Uncharted)
  • Time Station (Ape Escape)

From what we've seen so far, many of the stages mix and match elements from different Sony franchises, so while these levels may be primarily based on the series in question, their representations may not look exactly how you'd expect.

We'll see when and if these fighters and levels actually make the cut as Sony reveals more of the game in the next few months. Sony has said they plans to reveal new characters at Gamescom in Germany next month, for example.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale brings the Sony mash-up to PS3 and Vita October 23rd.
