With Jeremy Renner now leading the way for the Bourne franchise, fans of the series have been wondering if he can handle the intense action scenes as well as Matt Damon did during the first three movies. Well, courtesy of IGN, we finally have our answer. In the first clip from The Bourne Legacy, Renner performs all of our Bourne favorites—like running, jumping, and attacking police—in style.
He does it all with the same quiet brutality as Damon, but without Paul Greengrass' jittery camera movements, which could either be a good thing or bad thing depending on your personal preference. On the surface, The Bourne Legacy looks and feels like a Bourne movie, but whether or not we feel that way by the time the credits roll remains to be seen.
The Bourne Legacy hits theaters on August 10.
