This just in: According to Vulture, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have reached a settlement in their divorce. Man, it feels like just a little over a week ago that Holmes was announcing her plans to leave Cruise and his crazy Scientologist ways...oh, wait. Well, that was quick and undramatic. How disappointing.
Anyway, according to Holmes' rep, "we thank Tom’s counsel for their professionalism and diligence that helped bring about this speedy resolution...the case has been settled and the agreement has been signed." Additionally, "we are thrilled for Katie and her family and are excited to watch as she embarks on the next chapter of her life."
So, what is that next chapter going to be? Apparently, a film that Holmes herself co-wrote and will co-produce called Molly, about a single mom and her daughter. So totally meta, you know? The Internet's gonna love this.
