Vigilant New York Father Destroys Local Store

Vigilante dad.

Daniel Avery knows he'll have to pay for what he did, but he says he had to do it. He's not sorry either. The Waterton father has been accused of using a baseball bat to smash the front door, display case and other merchandise at Tebb's Head Shop. He says the shop sold bath salts to his 24-year-old son, who's currently in the hospital after overdosing.

According to employee Trevor Harding, Avery said "you sold my kid bath salts," and kept threatening to kill him.  Avery faces charges of third degree possession of a weapon and criminal mischief charges, and second degree menacing charges. He knows he was wrong, but doesn't condone the sale of the dangerous drug.
