Doubling down on its investment in server space, Apple will build a new 350-acre data center in Sparks, Nevada just outside of Reno. The world's most valuable company recently received approval from the Economic Development Board of Nevada to build the complex, which will employ up to 200 contractors and 35 full-time employees.

Apple clearly believes iCloud, and the cloud in general, will be key to its future business. The company also recently expanded its other massive data center in Maiden, North Carolina and is reportedly planning another in Prineville, Oregon.

With all the new service space, maybe they'll finally be able to make iMessage work properly?
