This newly released screenshot is our first glimpse at the Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee remake currently in development. No word on if that is the actual name of the game, but nostalgia hungry gamers will be calling it that 'till they give us something better.
Often cited as one of more progressive titles in regards to storytelling and level platforming, the original Oddworld was an instant classics on the PS1. It was a 2-D sidescroller with very few chances to save your progress and a progressively challenging difficulty setting; a feature that players both adored and vilified.
The remake is still a long way off, and it will be interesting to see what developer Just Add Water does for a next-gen console world. Take a look at the the full-sized version in the meantime and tell us what you think.
