Eighteen JFK International Airport employees were arrested today as a result of an investigation titled "Operation Last Call" (isn't the DA clever?), which successfully seized 500-to-600 over-sized garbage bags filled with mini bottles from a defendant's home.

Fifteen truck drivers for the airline catering company Sky Chef and three airport security guards managed to smuggle over a 100,000 mini bottles of booze, which they then hawked to local bodega owners for $1 to $2 per bottle. The pilfered goods, which were stolen over a 5-month-period, amounted to over $750,000 worth of tiny liquor bottles.

Word on the streets is that the criminals thought the heist was "worth a shot." Not really though.
