Disney and Junction Point announced today that Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, the sequel that might just set the franchise on the right path, is headed to the Wii U.

Epic Mickey 2 sees Mickey and his budy Oswald the Rabbit join forces for some historical Disney co-op action. The original Epic Mickey was a Wii-exclusive, and it's already known that the sequel will go multi-platform on PS3 and Xbox 360 as well. Wii U support is news, though.

"Using the Wii U™ GamePad, players will see a fully detailed, real-time map of Wasteland with waypoints and markers to help guide them through the game and complete the different quests and side-quests," reads a press release sent out today. "Players will also be able to use the GamePad to access sketches and activate the sketches to use in-game for a more immersive experience."

Nintendo revealed today that the Wii U will be hitting stores on Nov. 18 starting at $299. Check out our interview with artist Sophia Chang for more Epic Mickey 2 coverage.
