"Homeland" Up 60% in Ratings, "Dexter" Premiere Most-Watched Episode of the Series

After dominating the recent Primetime Emmy Awards, Showtime series Homeland returned for its second season to a gigantic increase in viewership, according to Deadline. The series reportedly saw 60% higher ratings compared to last year's premiere, garnering 1.73 million viewers - great numbers for cable.

Fellow Showtime series Dexter also premiered its seventh season last night, and surprisingly, to record high numbers. The episode reportedly pulled in 2.4 million viewers when it aired at 9 PM, making it the most-watched premiere of the show ever.
