Halloween season is the perfect time for Hollywood to flood the market with horror movies, and there aren't many franchises more profitable than the Paranormal Activity series. And even after four installments, this horror saga has proven yet again that it can still rake in the green, as The Hollywood Reporter has broken the news that Paranormal Activity 4 made an impressive $4.5 million during its midnight screenings last night.

This total isn’t a record by any means, but considering the movie was made for a mere $5 million, this is an astonishing amount. The site is also forecasting that the movie is on its way towards a $30+ million weekend, which would mean an instant profit for Paramount, despite a lower return than the third installment from a year ago. We’ll keep you updated on the film’s performance when weekend estimates are released on Sunday.
