As expected, the newest James Bond film, Skyfall, is off to a great start in the North American box office. According to Deadline, the film has already earned $4.6 million after opening last night in U.S. and Canada IMAX theaters. As it just opened in regular theaters today, the film is expected to top the domestic box office this weekend.

These numbers come after the film took Europe by storm earlier this month - it's already broken the record for the highest-grossing Bond film of all time in the U.K. with $91.2 million earned, and has earned a total of $321 million internationally since first opening in some parts of Europe on October 26th. Additionally, predictions show the film earning over $600 million at least.
