GamerFitNation CEO Antwand Pearman has issued a call to gamers everywhere to participate in a special day of online shooter ceasefire to honor the victims of last week's unbelievably tragic shooting in Newtown, Conn.
Here's some explanation from the movement's Facebook page:
We ask for Gamers to show their support for the families of those who lost there lives in the tragedy that took place in a Connecticut's Sandy Hook elementary school Friday, December 14, 2012.
As gamers, we tend to have a knee-jerk reaction any time games are mentioned in the same breath as a tragedy such as this one. But games aren't being blamed here; the first line of the movement's Facebook page reads "WE ARE NOT BLAMING VIDEO GAMES!"
