One of our most anticipated movies of 2013, Gravity, has finally gotten an official release date. According to Coming Soon, Warner Brothers has announced that the movie will hit theaters on October 4, 2013. This is nearly a year after the film was first delayed from its November 2012 release date, which now puts it up against Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, Paranoia, and the 3D re-release of Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith at the box office.

The movie will star George Clooney and Sandra Bullock as two astronauts who get separated from their ship during a routine spacewalk. The mysterious project has been compared to existential sci-fi classics like Solaris and 2001: A Space Odyssey, and with Alfonso Cuaron (Children of Men) behind the camera, Gravity is definitely a movie to keep an eye on as 2013 unfolds.
